Complementary Health Evaluation and Screening

At your first visit, you will receive Complementary Health Evaluation and Screening (takes 30minutes) from one of our practitioners.  Practitioner will evaluate whether your health concerns will be the right fit to our method or not.  Once we accept your case, you will have an option to receive 15 minutes Acupuncture Treatment (This would be .  Or we will schedule your First Acupuncture Consultation and Treatment on different time.

Your First Acupuncture Consultation and Treatment

Whether you’re experienced or this is your time to receive acupuncture treatment, we want to assure you with what will happen during your first Acupuncture Consultation and Treatment. There are four basic parts to your visit:

  1. Introduction: Explaining (or reviewing) acupuncture and how it works with your body and for your specific condition.
  2. Assessment: Taking a detailed history of your health and your current condition.  Also Acupuncture Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis.
  3. Treatment Plan: Discussing the proposed plan to address your condition and get you back to optimum health.
  4. Nutrition Support:  Suggesting nutritional and hydration guidelines that support your body and bring it back to the ideal ph balance. This allows acupuncture treatments to be more effective.

Creating New Habits

Things that last take time to build and that includes your good health. In fact, the adage ’21 days to make a new habit’ holds true here. It typically takes your body about three weeks (21 days) to optimize the benefits of acupuncture. So, at Acupuncture Associates we know just a quick fix isn’t going to provide you the long-term benefits you deserve. However, we also know there are times when our patients require immediate relief from symptoms. With that in mind we provide three phases of care:

Phase One: Symptom Care

This is where most treatment begins. We provide treatment to help you feel better and lessen or end your discomfort.

Phase Two: Corrective Care

Once you’re out of pain, we can work together to address the cause of your symptoms. Our goal is to correct and heal your body, taking you back to complete wellness.

Phase Three: Maintenance Care

When you reach optimum health, we want to keep you there. Depending on your conditions and treatments, Acupuncture Associates works with you to determine what type of care will maintain your health.
